This past weekend, we partnered with J&A Racing and their Virginia Beach 5K. Over 1,800 girls, 5K buddies, and coaches made their way down to the Oceanfront to finish the season strong with 3.1 miles. We were greeted by this perfect, GOTR pink sunrise that we just had to share.

Calling all GOTR supporters! Have you ever wanted to be more involved in our program? Join us this season as a coach at one of these sites and change the lives of girls in your community. Coaching not only impacts the girls, but it also has a profound effect on you. Click the link in our bio to register today!

As one of our coaches said, "You should coach Girls on the Run because it will challenge you physically and inspire you mentally. You'll discover the strength to empower yourself, and in doing so, you'll empower the girls as well. Watching their transformation from shy, quiet, unsure, or even self-centered to confident, strong, and selfless will be one of the most gratifying experiences you'll ever have".

Great coaches do more than teach technical skills. They help young people discover their strengths, build confidence, and see what’s possible.
Â
That impact can stay with girls long after a season ends. In the Girls on the Run Alums Study, 100% of participants interviewed as eighth graders shared vivid, positive memories of their coaches.
Â
We’re proud to see Girls on the Run International CEO Elizabeth Kunz featured in Forbes discussing the lasting impact of quality coaching and the role coaches play in helping girls thrive.

Feed Curation
As Girls on the Run is a international nonprofit, all local councils are expected to adhere to their brand guide and standards. This feed was put together with hand created posts, local photography, as well as elements provided by GOTR Headquarters.

The key aspects to the branding are (1) a distinctly bright color palette that provides a visual expression of cheerfulness, energy, and joy; (2) bold and unique typography; and (3) brand design elements that evoke GOTR's emotions and values, such as love and positivity.
